This draft-n router has the best features of the group we tested, plus excellent documentation and setup. But its test performance did not live up to its billing.
Samenvatting: Linksys touts its new Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N Broadband Router as three devices in one box: a Wireless Access Point, a full-duplex 10/100 switch connecting your wired-Ethernet devices together, and a router. But does it perform as well as it boasts ...
Best range of any router, New three-antenna design, One-touch security setup
Throughput dropped substantially with 802.11b client present, Need matching PC Card adapter for best results, No guaranteed upgradeability to final 802.11n standard
Samenvatting: Wi-Fi technology has been rapidly evolving since it first came on the scene in 2001. The original 802.11b based-products, with their 11 Mb/s bandwidth capacity, were quickly eclipsed by 802.11g running at up to 54 Mb/s. Most computers and wireless rout...
A reasonable price, solid maximum throughput, well-organized documentation, an easy setup process, essential security features, and a long warranty are the best things about the Linksys WRT300N.
The Linksys WRT300N performed below expectation in a mixed-mode environment and just about bombed at long range, which is supposed to be a strength of the 802.11n spec.
Though it offers good maximum throughput, the Linksys WRT300N ultimately fails to do the new Draft N standard proud in both mixed-mode and long-range tests. Wait to see how the rest of the Draft N products fare. Price range: $93.00 - $151.58
Samenvatting: At long last, news of the first products based on Draft N of the not-yet-approved 802.11n specification are starting to trickle out. Despite numerous announcements, actual hardware has been scarce; first to the party is Linksyss WRT300N, a Wi-Fi rout...

Quite a reasonably priced router, that looks like a Dalek (cool). Performance is realistic with serious maximum throughput figures. Setup is easy thanks to well laid-out instructions, which include easy-to-follow indispensable security features.
Really didn?t deliver up to expectation in a mixed-mode environment with G and B equipment and surprisingly the long range tests, which is supposed to be a strength of the 802.11n spec were less than impressive.
Throughput is great but in our tests the WiFi range was not what we expected from the N standard. Great for apartments or smaller homes that are switching across to a full N-network.
