I've used the Surface Pro series since the third generation, and there's no doubt this Surface Pro is the best one yet. It has good performance and great battery life and, because it's both a tablet and a laptop, it's a very versatile machine. However, I'm...

Refined design is its best yet, new keyboard (sold separately) makes for best typing experience yet, great screen resolution and brightness, plenty of power available - but fanless Core i5 is probably your best bet
Battery life still isn't great (not in the Core i7 model anyway - fanless Core i5 ought to be better in this regard), keyboard not included, can get mighty expensive - to the point a laptop might make more sense
The new Surface Pro shows how far Microsoft has come with the series. It's a really well made and great performing Windows device. Even in the Core i7 form of this review model it's approaching silent in operation, thanks to seventh-generation Intel Kaby...

The Surface Pro gets better performance and battery life from its CPU update, and most models are now fanless. The excellent kickstand is even more flexible
Minimal redesign leaves out USB-C and Thunderbolt options. The Surface Pen stylus is no longer included by default, and new keyboard covers are more expensive than ever. Still not great for lap use
Microsoft's flagship Surface Pro gets an extremely conservative update, but better battery life keeps it the gold standard of Windows hybrid PCs -- for now...

Masses of power, A joy to type on, Wonderful screen, Great battery life
Too pricey for the top-spec models, Lack of ports may frustrate some
The Surface Pro thoughtfully improves on a winning formula. It's beautifully built, a joy to use, and will make 99% of owners unspeakably happy. I just wish that Microsoft would be a little more generous. At the very least, they could throw the keyboard o...

Until we've properly tested the new Surface Pro, we'll reserve judgement on which 2-in-1 is the best.Tags:TabletsShare this articleShareTweetSendHi. I saw this on PC Advisor and thought you should see it too.Comments...
What immediately comes to mind when thinking of the Surface Pro 4's, well, pros, is the vastly improved Type Cover. Using the Surface Pro 3's Type Cover and moving onto the new hotness truly is like night and day, not to mention seeing them side by side
The fact that the Type Cover is still sold separately, not even as part of a bundle, sure makes the whole "tablet that can replace your laptop" spiel a harder pill to swallow. Sure, Microsoft likely will make a killing on individual retail sales from the
So, has Microsoft finally done it? That depends on how considerable of a compromise you consider "somewhat below average" battery life. If that's about the only thing that Redmond's mission rides on, with the typing, tracking and penning experience vastly...

While Surface has come a long way in the four years since it was introduced, it's still not a product that we think everyone needs. That said, Surface Pro 4 has been polished to a bright shine, and all of Microsoft's hard work makes it feel sophisticate...
