The Shure SE215 are the lowest-end models in Shure's prestigious new removable-cable earphone line-up. Aside from using dynamic drivers rather than balanced armatures, they offer the same quality construction as their more expensive series siblings, with ...
The Shure SE215 headphones are built to last. The housing that connects the 3.5mm audio jack to the cable is nicely reinforced and as the cable comes out at a 90-degree angle accidental damage is kept to a minimum. Shure specialises in making kit for professionals so it’s the little details that count for a lot. For example, unlike most headphones on the market, the Shure SE215 come with a detach
We like the heavy-duty appeal of the cable and plastic houses but we’re aware they’re not as sleek as other makes out there. The biggest problem with the Shure SE215 headphones is the rather large and bulbous driver housings, which make you look a bit like a TV broadcaster and will certainly prove a problem for people with smaller ears.
Shure may consider these headphones to be entry-level but in terms of quality you wouldn’t think so. Sure, the design is a little love it/hate it but is you’re a fan of the brand then you’ll already be warming to what these budget cans have to offer. S...

Impressive noise isolation, Stable and portable design
No controls, Soundstage isn't spacious and immersive
22HZ-17.5Hz frequency response, Better sound isolating than most in-ear earbuds, Excellent build quality
Bass could be a bit better, But not active noise cancelling, Lack of inline controls

Samenvatting: If you're looking for a set of affordable and high-quality in-ear monitors (IEMs), there are a handful of good options out there, and the list just got bigger. You've probably heard of the Shure SE215, the powerhouse of IEMs in the $100 price range. But r...
Samenvatting: Last week MajorHiFi delved into the Best Headphones for Jazz Music, and today we're returning to the subject of Jazz. This time, however, we're covering the Best Earphones for Jazz Music (or the Best In-Ear Headphones for Jazz Music). So cue up some Co...
Samenvatting: There's a major heat wave going on in New York City with temps well over 90 degrees Fahrenheit and the thought of standing in the sweltering subway with all my bags and tons of people while trying to untangle my headphones to endure the 45 minute rise hom...
This is a punchy, solid sounding headphone. It's perfect for pop, hip-hop and EDM. It also works well with classical music. However, I wouldn't call it the ideal all-rounder; if you purely listen to rock and pop-rock or folk, you might want to keep lookin...
Samenvatting: Everyone knows Shure as a high-quality headphone brand. Mackie is less famous, but well known by musicians for its loudspeakers and professional studio equipment. Only recently have they started dabbling in the professional IEM market. How does its most i...
Samenvatting: The first half of the review is of the Shure SE215 itself. The SE215 has been a staple of the audiophile community for years, often recommended as an entry-level high-quality IEM. Available in black, blue, white, or clear, the tiny housing of this IEM is...
