Solid racing controls; generally fun gameplay; decent graphics; lots to see and do; multiplayer and create-a-track modes are a welcome new addition.
Touch screen controls are unecessary and tacked-on; gameplay is restrictive (repeating races over and over until you win is not fun); mini games are a bore.
A solid racer, held back somewhat by the failings of the original Nintendo 64 game that were carried over to this Nintendo DS port. Well worth picking up if youre in the market for a kart racer and you already own Mario Kart DS.
