It will be hard not to gush here, because I really have enjoyed using the HTC Hero over the past couple of weeks. Everything just works, and is highly customizable, which is a real plus. It may sound like a small thing, but the customizable panels on ...
Samenvatting: In this past week’s newsletter I wrote up my first impressions of the HTC Hero from Sprint. I had previously been putting an unlocked HTC Hero (provided by PureMobile) to the test, which amazed me in the first 10 minutes of use by letting me connect to...
Samenvatting: It was written that a great Hero would rise from the East. He would be clothed in the sun and his unique user-interface would redefine the user experience for countless fans of social networking and his majesty would reign over all over Android phones ...
Great enhanced Android UI that's fun, fast and powerful. Capacitive display.
Needs a reboot every 3 days to keep things speedy.
It's hard not to love a Hero, the HTC Hero on Sprint in this case. It's replete with features and those features work well. HTC's customized Android is a joy to use: it's fun, efficient, full-featured and highly customizable. The phone is...
Camera flaunts touchonly zoom with taptofocus. Responsive touchqwerty more or less comparable to iPhone. Battery lasts for DAYS (36hours!). 3.5mm headphone jack. Flashenabled. Deadsimple USB mounting: Plug in, drag down top menu, and voila, the phone is c
SD slot is only accessible by removing cover. This Hero has Flash, but how about a camera with a flash? Optional haptic feedback is about as subtle as a 6.5 earthquake. Lack of image stabilization produces videos reminiscent of Cloverfield. 340 x 280 vide
So, what do you think? Is the HTC Hero the much anticipated fairytale hero? The smartphone of the future? The best Android cell phone to date? It´s only the last statement that holds true, at least in our own lights. Still, the HTC Hero demonstrates t...
Different, but ergonomic design, Teflon coating that protects the device from scratches and fingerprints, Customizable and intuitive Sense interface, Excellent browser, Facebook and Flickr connectivity and functionality, Handy screen keyboards, Awesome incall quality
Gets rather sluggish at times, Mediocre camera, Feeble video playback functionality, Bad sound quality through the boxed earphones, Teflon coating only available on the white version

Samenvatting: Time, at last, for an HTC Hero Review round-up. After working feverishly on the new look MobileMentalism for what seems like the past 100 years (still not finished - give me time, people, itll be worht the wait ;), I remembered that I said Id do a re...

Great UI, hugely customizable, 3.5mm headphone port, 5mp camera
No music player equalizer, no camera flash or night mode, poor video recording
The HTC Hero is a great handset that I thoroughly enjoyed using. Its older brother, the Magic, was great fun when I tested it a while back, but the Hero is better still and Id happily use one as my everyday phone. Its quite something for me to heart...
Killer virtual keyboard; Sense UI is inviting and full of wow; gorgeous 3.2", 320 X 480 display with oleophobic coating; design is sophisticated but makes a statement; 3.5mm headphone jack; 5MP cam; Teflon on select colors; Hero represents a new day for A...
You need to go without the Sense extras for a snappy experience; my browsing experience on EDGE was very slow (issue for running on unsupported carriers); video camera isnt even worth using; some people hate the chin and asymmetrical button layout.
I am as excited about the Hero as I was about the G1 at launch. I think this phone represents something big. I think it signals a sea change in the way people use their phones, and a major bump for the Androids profile in the eyes of the average cons...
